About us

Hello and thanks for dropping by!
We are Lostock Church (also known as St Thomas' and St John's) Lostock, Bolton. We’re a bunch of ordinary people from a wide range of different backgrounds who meet on Sunday mornings and at other times to explore who God is and what he freely offers us in Jesus Christ.
You don’t have to dress up or pretend to be something you’re not in order to join in at Lostock Church. We are all works in progress! Come as you are and join in as much as you feel comfortable.
We try to make what the Bible teaches the foundation of all we believe and do.
We are also very much an all-age church with a dedicated children’s ministry.
Whether you are looking into Christianity for the first time, are a long-standing Christian or have moved to the area and are looking for a new church, come along and be assured of a warm welcome. No previous experience required!
The life of the Lostock Church family is not just about Sunday mornings however. There are various midweek groups and other gatherings. A number of these are shared with Deane Parish Church (www.deanechurch.org).
May God bless you as you continue to explore all that he has in store for you.

Children and Young People
Two Sundays a month are ‘all-age’ when the young people stay in for all of the service.
On the other two Sundays there are dedicated Sunday School groups for the 3s-14s.
There is an unsupervised baby & toddler area just off the main worship space of Church which parents are free to use.
There are toilets and baby-changing facilities on site.
On a Sunday evening we have a joint youth group with Deane Church, for young people in Yrs 7 - 11.
SAFEGUARDING
All of our children and young peoples’ group leaders are DBS checked and are expected to work in line with the Safeguarding Policies and Procedures of Manchester Diocese. More details of our commitment to safeguarding can be found here:
